I love small, intimate weddings and I shoot more of these than any other type of wedding. Whether you’re planning your Colorado micro wedding photography or a destination elopement I can help with your wedding photography.
You may be asking yourself, “What’s the difference between the two?” While micro weddings and elopements are similar they are also very different with regards to the number of people attending your event and the logistics of planning your big day.
Elopements are usually just the bride, groom, officiant, photographer and maybe a handful of very close family or friends. When people elope they often don’t tell many people they are darting off to get married. That’s half the fun! The majority of the elopements I photograph consist of covering the ceremony and an extended portrait session afterwards. However, when you’re eloping you can do whatever you want!
The term “micro wedding” has become popular in the age of COVID. However, I love micro weddings as they are the perfect celebration for the couple who wants more than an elopement but doesn’t want an extravagant wedding event. It often includes many of the events and service providers of a traditional wedding but with far fewer guests. They are also usually very unique, personal and meaningful celebrations which is why I love photographing them!
