The 50th anniversary of Earth Day came and went unceremoniously amidst the suffocating presence of the corona virus. However, while people around the globe self-isolate our planet is breathing a welcomed sigh of relief. The temporary halt to human activity has reduced air pollution, helped heal the ozone and significantly reduced overall carbon emissions. While this reprieve will be short-lived it gives us hope that we can successfully come together for a common cause and battle the climate crisis.
